Dancing Girls

This year, the tenth region of Chile is the special guest in the International Fair of the Book. These girls came from Valdivia (approximately 1.000 Kms south from Santiago), to show some german dances to the attendants. It was a very nice act and they received a lot of applause.

I was wondering the same thing as oliver, I don't think of Germans in Chile. It looks like a lot of people are enjoying the dancing.

The tenth region of Chile is characteristic for its German colony.
In the 1800s, hundreds of German families arrived to Chile to work and literally create the southern lands in Chile. They keep their beautiful traditions (and typical foods, mmm...) until today.
