As I told you
before, I'm working some days each week in Quillota, a city near Santiago. I took this picture at the entrance of La Calavera (The Skull) tunnel on my way back today. I really don't know the origin of the tunnel's name, but it doesn't sound very encouraging when you're going in... It was built in 1950 and is 298 meters long.
I chose this picture because I liked the "speed effect" around the entrance. It kind of gets you dizzy...
J'aime beaucoup l'effet que tu as donné à ta photo, on a vraiment une impression de vitesse et que l'on va s'engouffrer dans le tunnel.
ReplyDeleteI like much the effect that you gave to your photograph, one is really an impression speed and that one will engulf oneself in the tunnel.
Just in case: I didn't add a "speed effect". Ooops...
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective in this shot. The eye is drawn into the "skull"
ReplyDeleteCould the nickname have arisen as a result of the international comic strip hero of that era, The Phantom, who lived in the Scull Cave? Only a wild guess though.
