Santiago is Chile's capital and largest city and has become one of Latin America's most developed metropolitan areas.
I invite you to take a look!

The bended paper clip
This giant bended paper clip is actually a sculpture. I found it in Santiago's International Airport today and thought it looked quite weird. But art is subjective...
Art IS subjective, or maybe the response to art varies with the subject. That's why it's so nice to see a post like this one (and the ones before on Lukas' work)and then to read the comments, to see how you and others respond. Of course, the artist him/herself probably has the only opinion that ultimately matters. Was s/he satisfied and pleased? At least, that's the ultimate standard I use when I create something.
I agree with Annie 100%!! So many things--art, humor, relationships are subjective experiences. We gain by seeing what others perceive. And I sure wish I knew Spanish as well as you know English. Did you learn at an early age?
Una obra de arte para mi gusto excelente. Los aeropuertos siempre son lugares de paso "cosmopolita" y idóneos para este tipo de expresión. Gracias por enseñarnos tu país.
.. looks a bit like a snake ! I like it.
ReplyDeleteI too thought it was a snake sculpture as well...

ReplyDeleteEdulabbe, thanks for bringing all the Chilean art to us. I really enjoy the art-related posts. Keep it on.
